Technological war: how Ukraine uses artificial intelligence on the front and what is known about unique systems

Some foreign companies also contribute to the technological war, or rather, to our victory in it.

Ukraine needs a technological advantage over the enemy. Such thoughts were repeatedly echoed by Commander-in-Chief Valery Zaluzhny and Defense Minister Rustem Umerov. The year 2023 brought the military a lot of robotic machinery and smart weapons that work with the help of artificial intelligence.

This is stated in the story of TSN correspondent Vitaly Afanasienko.

    Intelligence system “Griselda”

Some of the military robotic equipment is the result of the work of the Brave1 defense cluster launched in April, to which Ukrainian startups submitted applications for more than 900 developments, half of which the General Staff has already evaluated and prioritizes, which are most needed, there are also those that already help the military at the front .

In particular, our military already successfully uses the “Griselda” intelligence system, which in half a minute processes thousands of messages received from satellites, drones, mass media, hacked enemy data and social networks. Further, with the help of a neural network, the system instantly analyzes the collected information and transfers it to tablets for tankers and gunners. And they are already destroying the enemy.

    Smart unmanned complex “Saker Scout”

The Russians have learned how to mask their targets, but Ukrainian drone operators are involved in artificial intelligence training to unmask and identify enemy targets. The Ministry of Defense has already approved the use of a super-intelligent drone complex – “Saker Scout” with a system that recognizes and attacks 64 types of targets in areas where other drones cannot operate due to EW systems. And all this without human intervention. He will find and destroy the targets himself.

Evacuation platforms and remote demining systems

Artificial intelligence has become much smarter in 2023 and in ground systems. This helped the Ukrainians to create new evacuation platforms that would reach the wounded under heavy fire and help him “get out” of the shelling or deliver food or ammunition without a person.

These are also remote demining systems, where once again the military does not expose itself to danger, since demining is carried out by a robot instead of a person.

Robots can already shoot at targets without human help. At one of the ranges, National Guardsmen tested remotely controlled turrets in which artificial intelligence detects and destroys the enemy by itself.

Some foreign companies also contribute to the technological war, and more precisely, to our victory in it, which share software with us, which, for example, can use satellite images and additional information online to broadcast to the military on maps one clear picture of a certain locality. The main purpose of involving all these modern technologies is to save the lives of soldiers and in the near future to replace people on the battlefield with robots.
