Nokia announced the signing of a new patent agreement to license its 5G patents to Samsung.
According to the agreement, Samsung will pay license fees to Nokia over several years starting January 1, 2023. Samsung will pay Nokia royalties for several years.
Nokia has invested more than €130 billion in research and development in its patent portfolio since 2000. This is a number equal to about 20,000 patents, including more than 4,500 patent families related to 5G.
