Nokia provides Ukraine with 5,000 Wi-Fi routers and will help build a trunk Internet channel across the Black Sea

    Routers for Ukraine

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the Nokia company has already handed over 1,770 routers to Ukraine, which already provide Internet access to school shelters. The second batch of 3,230 routers will arrive soon.

“Thanks to this, even more Ukrainian schoolchildren will be able to continue their studies even during air raids. I am sure that together we will make the digital infrastructure even more sustainable and modern,” Mykhailo Fedorov said.

    Construction of the main channel

In addition, the CEO of Nokia proposed to create a local group of experts to advise on the recovery, increasing the resilience and modernization of the digital infrastructure.

The company will also provide support in the construction of a main Internet channel across the Black Sea. After all, this will make Ukraine more attractive for opening offices of global IT companies, such as Amazon or Meta.

    What else was agreed upon?

    • To improve the Ukrainian telecom infrastructure.
    • Integrate into the international telecom market.
    • Increase the number of telecom specialists in Ukraine.
    • Strengthen the power of Ukrainian Internet networks.

We will remind you that after the full-scale invasion of Russia into Ukraine, the Nokia company announced that it would stop working on the territory of the aggressor country.
