The American manufacturer of network equipment Cisco Systems Inc has stated that it will close its business in Russia and Belarus.
This was reported by Reuters.
The company ceased operations in these countries, including sales and service, in March.
“Cisco is shutting down its business in Russia and Belarus as Western companies are accelerating,” the agency said.
“Since our announcement on March 3, we have continued to monitor the war in Ukraine closely. We have now decided to begin an orderly closure of our business in Russia and Belarus.
We focus on ensuring that injured employees in Russia and Belarus are treated with respect and that they receive our support during this transition. Cisco continues to use all its resources to help our employees, institutions and residents of Ukraine, as well as our customers and partners in this difficult time, ” the company said in a statement.
