The Ukrainian branch of Cisco Systems Inc adds its actions in support of Ukraine and Ukrainian customers to the sanctions of the American manufacturer of network equipment against Russia and Belarus.
Serhiy Martinchuk, Cisco’s regional manager in Ukraine, wrote about this on his Facebook page . He named the measures of his company aimed at supporting Ukraine and Ukrainians that have already begun.
The company will increase assistance in protecting organizations in Ukraine from cyber attacks and provide support to the Ukrainian government in protecting infrastructure. “The Talos team has already begun work on landscape monitoring, intruder detection and deployment, and is openly sharing its findings, which is important for security,” said Cisco’s regional manager in Ukraine.
For customers in Ukraine, Cisco promises to renew licenses for its software and services automatically and free of charge. It will also allow you to use Cisco Webex for free for one year, as well as DUO + AMP + Umbrella security products for 6 to 12 months. “More free services are on the way,” Serhiy Martinchuk promises .
It will be recalled that the American manufacturer of network equipment Cisco Systems Inc has suspended all business operations in Russia and Belarus due to the invasion of Ukraine. “Cisco is suspending all business in Russia and Belarus and will continue to focus on supporting our Ukrainian employees, customers and partners by providing humanitarian assistance and intensifying our efforts to protect organizations in Ukraine from cyber threats. We support Ukraine and condemn this unjustified war, “the company’s management said in a letter to employees.
